DeckGeneral®Mill Glaze Remover is a lighter duty wood cleaner/prep product designed to remove mill glaze and etch the wood. Mill glaze is a translucent sealant made of melted wood resin. This coating is created during the process of sawing or planing. The friction from these processes is so hot that is seals the wood and ultimately inhibits a finish from initially penetrating; and therefore, anchoring into the wood. Cleaning new would with DeckGeneral® Mill Glaze Remover creates a condition allowing a finish to penetrate and adhere to the best of its design. DeckGeneral® Mill Glaze Remover should be used on all new wood.

RECOMMENDED APPLICATION:
Always pretest an area to be cleaned to insure compatibility with the coating. DeckGeneral® Mill Glaze Remover is used as received.
Apply to the area to be cleaned using a brush, roller or garden sprayer. Allow the product to soak for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse the wood in the direction of the grain using a garden hose or a power washer at 500 to 1200 psi. Please refer to the MSDS for proper safety instructions.
